Update from Atlanta

Hi All,

Mark and I have been in Atlanta, GA since March 24th. The first three weeks have flown by. We spent the first couple of weeks searching for an apartment, banking and a new cell phone. Currently we are in corporate housing in the Buckhead area. But in May we'll be moving to our permanent apartment in the Dunwoody area. We can't wait to move to the new place. Our new complex is brand new and will be offering gorumet cooking classes once a month!

I have been in training for work about 20 minutes outside the city for the last three weeks. Training has been going well, lots to absorb but I'm a fast learner. :) Today (4/14) was actually my first day in the main office downtown. I will be spliting my time between the 5th and 21st floors at work. It's very strange to look out the window and see skyscrapers. But it's even stranger not to see snow on the ground.

Mark has started the job search process. In addition he is been busy coordinating banking, new cell phones and the rest of our relocation. He's enjoying the great weather and has already been scoping out the numerous golf courses. However he is still wishing I would have negotiated for tickets to the Master's in Augusta. Maybe if he's really nice, Santa will get him tickets to the practice round next year.

This past weekend we ventured out into the "big city". We took the MARTA (rail system) into the city in search of a local farmer's market at Atlanta Station. Turns out we had the wrong weekend but we still had fun exploring the shops, walking around and enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Yep, that's right they actually have a true SPRING in the south!!
