The last month has flown by and each week I keep telling Mark "we need to update the blog". Well I'm finally forcing myself to sit down and update everyone on what's been going on in the Peach State.
I'll start with the big news first...Mark has accepted a job with New York Life as an advisor. He's very excited and the best part is his office is less than 5 miles from our apartment. A blessing considering that gas is over $4.00/gallon here.
Early May brought the big move of house hold goods to Georgia; check out "The Big Move" pictures. We arrived home on the 7th and I must say stepping back through the door at 237 Berwyn Ave after 6 weeks away from home felt really weird. The movers rolled onto our street Thursday and Friday and quickly packed up two years of memories in the back of a semi. We will miss our first home, the memories, the work we put into it and the love we created there. The funny thing is that we met more of our neighbors in two days than we had in two years. I guess people get curious when there is a big truck blocking driveways. :) We did find some time to catch up with a few friends, helped Mark's Grandma Hazel celebrate her 87th birthday and celebrated Mother's Day with both of our moms. And you know me, I took lots of pictures of the neices, nephew and a very pregnant Janae! She looks so cute pregnant...see the "Mother's Day in Wisconsin" pictures.
It's a shame that pictures don't tell the whole story though. My family celebrated my birthday when I was up north and my oldest niece Emma counted every single candle as she put them on my cake. After 31 candles so loudly proclaimed, "that's a lot of candles Auntie Header!"
The rest of May has been eaten up with moving into the new place, unpacking all the boxes and starting to decorate the apartment. It's a slow process though, I've only hung 4 pictures on the walls. Oh and we are officially residences of Georgia. Yep we got our mug shots taken, I mean drivers licenses pictures taken. The other big event was my 31st birthday. We spent the day at Stone Mountain Park, about 15 minutes outside of Atlanta, enjoying the weather and scenery.
Hope all is well with everyone. Keep in touch.
